Exercise TV

We have a Samsung TV so we are able to get apps on our TV for free. One of them is Exercise TV. I love that I can just turn on my TV, go to the app and just select what exercise I want to do. Of course lately I have been pretty lazy.

Today my 8 year old daughter turned it on and picked an exercise to do. I told her wait just a minute so I could do it with her. She did a cardio one first. That lasted maybe 10 minutes for any of us and we were worn out. We took a break and then we moved on to a video where we walked a mile. It is really easy and fun to do. Who really wants to walk out in the heat we are having? Not me!

So now I must say I feel great! I love free stuff and free stuff that makes you feel great at the same time is just awesome! I think the walking a mile exercise will be a daily routine. I know my daughter will do it with me. Also because I homeschool it is an added bonus because my kids can have a great workout for a Physical Education.

So now my goal for myself will be to walk at least 1 mile every day. It only took 20 minutes out of my day. While I was working out my baby was crawling around smiling at me. So it even entertained him.

Here is some info taken from Exercise TV about getting it on a Samsung TV...

ExerciseTV is now free with your new Samsung Connected TV and available to download in the Samsung App Store.”

36 assets in 6 categories: Abs, Walking, Cardio, Yoga, Toning, Strength. There is search functionality and a new interactive design. Also there is the 10 Pound Slimdown workout plan integrated into the app with a calendar to keep track of your workouts. It looks like there are 15 minis including circuits and 16 full length, and (5) 10 Pound Slimdown assets that you can work out to from the comfort of your home using your ConnectedTV!

So what do you do for exercise on a daily basis?

  1. It is too hot here to walk much, I think I'll start walking a mile indoors like you. I bet you are enjoying homeschooling and having your children close by each day.
The only exercise I have gotten (in this heat) lately is chasing Abby around. She keeps me busy.

  4. We started High School this year at our home school with my 14yo son and 13yo daughter, they are both in the 9th grade. We too are using Exercise TV for P.E. along with a strength training routine from SparkTeens. My daughter does not need to lose weight, but weight related health problems run in both sides of our family, so I am continuing my dedication in being the break in this cycle. One of my older sons is in the National Guard, so I'm going to have him work up a routine for my 14yo son. I also use the SparkPeople site for me and find health articles for my daughter to read for Health. I saw your comments on Exercise TV's blog, and that just convinced me more to save for one of those Samsung's new TV!. Thanks.

  5. That is awesome. I am glad that you found the blog over there. My kids are not over weight at all either but I needed to do something with them. They love doing the workouts with me. It really helps motivate me. Yeah the Samsung is so worth it.
