Sun Sauce

I recently had the chance to review Sun Sauce’s Skin Firming Formula Moisturizer with a touch of sunless lotion. Here is what the label says: This vitamin rich formula sunless lotion leaves no streaks, no lines, just a slow progression toward bronze perfection. Bathe your body in our very intense wrinkle fighting, anti aging Moisturizer while adding just a hint of color to your silky smooth skin. Keep your skin as soft and supple as possible with this perfectly blended moisture rich new Sun Sauce anti aging skin firming formula.

l have used this product now for about a week and it has made my skin feel very soft. I love the way it makes my skin feel - it is not dry anymore. The lotion kind of smells like sunscreen but it's a light smell. Because I have only used this product a week I can not say that it fights wrinkles. A week I am sure is not long enough to see any kind of improvement from a lotion unless there is a miracle lotion out there.

There is truth to the claim that it leaves no streaks or lines. I have no streaks or lines when I apply this lotion, because I am still just as pale as I was to begin with. I have not noticed a hint of color on my legs. I keep saying legs because that's where I tested it. I did this for two reasons. One, because that's where I'm the palest, and two, it's winter time. If something did happen such as my skin turning a funky color at least it could be hidden by my pants.

So, would I recommend this product? Yes and no. Yes if you want a lotion that makes your skin feel very silky and soft. No, if you're looking for that hint of color. It may be that it takes more than a week to show up, but so far, I haven't seen a trace. If you want to check out the product for yourself go here and let me know what you think. The 18oz bottle is $20.

*I received this product free for review purposes. This is my honest opinion and I was not paid for the review.

Sippy Cup from JcPenny

I am so ready for summer time so I thought it would be fun to buy my kids some cups. They have the cups with the summer time tables and items at JcPenny. My two oldest kids got some little plastic mugs that you can put in the freezer. My son's has a frog on it and my daughter's has a butterfly on it. Well I didn't want to leave the baby out so I bought a sippy cup for him that has a turtle on it.

The cups are all so cute looking but man do I wish I had not bought the sippy cup! I am so mad that the picture is already coming off of it. I put them all in the dishwasher because it said it was dishwasher safe. I don't know if it is just poorly made or the dishwasher messed it up. When I took it out of the dishwasher it was sticky and the picture was coming off on my fingers. Yuck!

So if you see these cute little sippy cups do not get them! The other two cups were perfectly fine so if you get those you are in good shape. I am probably just going to keep the sippy cup and scrape off the picture.

It looks like I have had the cup for a few years but I just got it last week. How sad :(

Love Your Heart Children's Book Giveaway

I recently had a chance to review a complimentary children's book from Thomas Nelson Company called "Love Your Heart" written by Tim McGraw and Tom Douglas, illustrated by Abigail Marble. This is a very touching story of a father and his little girl Katie that would appeal to little girls between the ages of two and eight.

In the book, Katie is trying to figure out with the help of her father what talent she has so she can perform at her school's talent show. She turns out to be a little girl with many talents but the best talent comes from with in. From the touching story of this father and daughter to the beautiful illustrations I am sure you will love this book.

This book will help children discover their many talents and they will also learn that the biggest talent of all comes from within them. I know you will be telling your child "I love your heart." I know how touched my heart was from reading this story because it warmed my heart and brought tears to my eyes. Microwave Omelet Pan

Really I thought this was going to be very neat. I love to cook there are just some things that I am not good at cooking. One of those things is an omelet. My husband always cooks them for me. So while shopping the other day he found a microwave omelet pan.

It is just a plastic container that you place in the microwave to cook an omelet. The thought was nice. I was happy that my husband bought this because I thought it was going to be simple to use. Looked easy enough. Unfortunately I never got to use it.

I went to open the container and fold it back up to see how it worked. Well it got stuck open. I couldn't get it to shut with out breaking it apart from the hinges. I had to work hard at getting it back together after it broke apart. I am not very willing to use a product if it just falls apart before I can use it. This was a product that we bought ourselves so I was not going to try to use it. We are going to go get our money back on this.

So if you like omelets I think sticking to the "old fashion" way is a better idea. I will wait for my husband to cook me an omelet or just make myself scrambled eggs with cheese.

So have you ever found a product like this that does work for making omelets? Maybe it was just the brand of this one. Maybe there are others out there that do work. Let me know your experience.

Bath & Body Works

One of my favorite places to shop is Bath & Body Works. I love to go around and smell the different fragrances they have. Most of the time you will see my daughter following along behind me smelling each and every one that I do.

I have never been a fan of any kind of perfumes but I love the body mist that they have. It is not over powering like perfumes can be. They do have perfumes there but I prefer the body mists because of the lighter smell. My favorite ones are Moonlight Path, Plumeria and Sweet Pea.

While browsing around the web today I found a coupon for one free signature collection body care item when you make a $10 purchase. You can either print it off here or use the online code LOVESC. Hurry up because the coupon ends February 21, 2010.

Rainbow Brite

Rainbow Brite is back! Hallmark has decided to bring back the 80s character. I remember watching the movies and playing with my Rainbow Brite doll and her friend Shy Violet. Shy Violet was my favorite because she reminded me of myself. She was shy and wore glasses. I loved my dolls and I am pretty sure my mom has them stashed away for safe keeping at her house. Hopefully I can dig them out and share my dolls with my daughter.

Rainbow Brite has a new look today. Not sure why they needed to change the look but I guess she was a little too old school looking for kids today. I personally prefer the look she had before because she was more wholesome.

You can go online today and check out the Rainbow Brite site here. You can enjoy letting your child play games, print out coloring pages, meeting Rainbow Brite and her friends and much more.

iPhone apps Classics

My husband just got an new iPhone and gave me his old one. I have never been one to really like a cell phone. I usually just let the battery die and I never charge it. After playing around with my husband's iPhone I started to really like it. It wasn't just a phone it was more...

There were games I could play, I could take pictures, I could check my email, jump on facebook and update my status, have my scriptures right at my finger tips and more. I actually loved this phone! So my husband decided that he would give me his old one and upgrade to the newer version that came out. That was fine by me because I was already used to his old phone.

My husband put all of the same apps on his new phone that was on the old phone. So we both had all of the same games and stuff. I decided to browse the apps store yesterday to find something that I would like. Yes I like the apps on my phone already but I wanted something that was just for me. Guess what I found it!

The app is called "Classics." It is an app that has some of the classic books that have been written. Such as The Jungle Book, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Treasure Island, and more. It is very easy to use. You just tap your finger on the book you want to read and then click the chapter. You flip through the pages with a slide of the finger. Just like flipping the pages of a regular book. The app even places a bookmark in the place where you finish reading. You just click the home button and it places the bookmark where you left off. You can also arrange your books on the shelf the way you want them by dragging the books around.

I have about 23 books that I can read! You can also keep up with the updates and get more books. This is all for free. Yes my favorite part is free! I just started reading The Jungle Book. That is one of my all time favorite stories. I have loved the Disney Movie since I was a child. So if you are an iPhone user check out the app "Classics." I recommend it for anyone who loves reading the classic stories.

Diamond Rio Book Review and Give Away

I recently had the chance to review a complimentary book from Thomas Nelson Company called “Beautiful Mess the story of Diamond Rio.” This book takes you on a journey through the lives of each of the members of Diamond Rio. You get a look into their personal lives and with six guys in the band I bet you can find at least one of them that you have something in common with. They are just a bunch of regular guys that went from theme park entertainers to the popular well know band we love today.

Being a big fan of Diamond Rio and getting a look into their lives made me realize they are just like you and me. They have struggles and are not perfect. They made it through their struggles and that makes me know that I can too. My life has also been a “Beautiful Mess.” I highly recommend checking out this book if you are a fan of Diamond Rio.

I will be giving away my copy of the book for one of my followers to have. Just enter a comment below. You have until Friday February 5th to enter. I will post the winner on here the following day. Please make sure I have your email also so I can give you a heads up if you are the winner!
