I got You are The Bomb Dot Com.

You can still hear the weird sound of the Internet as it dials up, and you sometimes still wonder how Zack Morris could freeze time to talk into the camera. You survived Y2K and if anyone is looking for a slap bracelet or scrunchie, you probably have a few in the bottom of a drawer.

I must say I had many scrunchies and slap bracelets when I was in school. Brings back many memories.

Cureology Review and Giveaway

I recently had a chance to review Cureology's Endurance Color Care Shampoo and Re-conditioner. I was very happy to learn of their sponsorship with The National Breast Cancer Foundation. You can read more about that here.

The reason I am so happy with their sponsorship with the NBCF is because I have had 3 very close people in my life who have fought breast cancer and have won the battle. This is a great organization in my book to support.

So now let's learn a little more about Cureology.

Cureology is made with a simple premise: That shampooing, conditioning, and styling your hair should be beneficial to both the scalp and hair. At Curelogy Beauty we use the restorative powers of a new, Natural Ingredient Technology that helps to restore the scalp and hair back to a healthy and youthful feel and appearance.

Cureology Beauty is produced with the utmost respect to human health, our environment, and our future. At Cureology Beauty we adhere to the following principles-

Procure and use only ingredients that are available from renewable sustainable resources when and wherever available. We use only organically grown ingredients. We do not add harmful salt or other thickeners to our formulations which are harmful to the hair, hair color and scalp. Cureology Beauty is the only hair care line that utilizes a Dual Proprietary Sun Screening System to help protect the hair, hair color and hairline from the ravaging effects of UVA and UVB rays as well as Ozone. Cureology Beauty utilizes a proprietary blend of botanicals, antioxidants, essential oils, vitamins, and Omega3 to create the most beneficially fabulous hair care line in the world.

So you can see Cureology is about being helpful to the environment as well.

I have used the products now for a few weeks and I love the smell. It is not over powering. It has a light smell and leaves your hair feeling light and soft. I love being able to run my fingers through my hair and feeling how soft it is. I do have to say I must use the re-conditioner because if I don't I will have a lot of knots in my hair. That just may be me I always have to use conditioner.

So now here is the fun part. I get to give away the same product I used. one lucky reader will get the shampoo and re-conditioner.

All you have to do is leave a comment below with your email. (I will not accept any entries without an email.)

You can also do the following for extra entries. Make sure you let me know what you did below in a comment.

Ellen Whitehurst's 3 Tips for Luck year round

Ellen Whitehurst , www.ellenwhitehurst.com is a Better Living Expert as well as the author of the bestselling MAKE THIS YOUR LUCKY DAY (Ballantine) Recognized as the country’s premier expert in Feng Shui and other empowering modalities such as holistic medicine, aromatherapy, and astrology. Ellen also pens a daily inspirational tip for iVillage.com currently reaching over a half million each day. She is also the newest Ultimate Health and Wellness expert contributing to DoctorOz.com.

Three Tips to Create a Lucky Life All Year Round

Seed your day by getting lucky first thing in the morning! Even if you’re traditionally not a morning person (wink) there are some things that anyone can do to start the day off from a place of anticipation, expectation, gratitude and joy. The very first thing you see the very first time you open your eyes in the morning will influence and impact, not only that particular day but potentially your entire life. If the first thing you spy as you open your eyes is a desk full or unfinished business or exercise equipment (a ‘no – no’ in the bedroom anyway!) with the dry cleaning hanging on it or an open bottle of Vick’s NyQuil from the cold you had a week ago, well, imagine how these images impact your experience. On the other hand if you have a clean and clutter free sleeping space with a beautiful comforter keeping you cozy and warm and some images or artwork of beauty and possibly even some soft music playing in the background, well, then you might feel fully present as you express “Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.” Beginning your day in a state of present of gratitude also begins your day with grace. And don’t forget that ages-old legend and lore says that if you get out of bed by climbing over the foot of it, you’ll have outstanding luck all the day long. www.facebook.com/EllenWhitehurst

Now, speaking of expectation, recent scientific research done on the difference between lucky and unlucky people shows that lucky people’s expectations, their dreams, goals, hopes and ambitions often become a reality because of one fundamental difference in how lucky people think. Simply put lucky people have positive expectations that then motivate them to take control of their lives. They will actually attempt to achieve whatever they want from life no matter the likelihood of being successful. This internal motivation prompts lucky people to persist even in the face of challenge, obstacle or adversity. Lucky people define at least five goals for themselves on a regular basis by writing them down and looking at them often. And, then, they take (at least!) one proactive step each day towards reaching those same goals. They reach out or join in or even simply do a positive meditative visualization of what they will FEEL like when their goal is reached. Lucky people expect success. And, so, they often achieve it.

Invariably and, again, according to scientific studies, lucky people are found to follow their instincts, intuition and plain old gut hunches much, MUCH more than those who consider themselves to be unlucky. The lucky bunch do different things in order to enhance their intuition and hone their instincts such as investing time and energy in some formal form of meditation or simply sitting quietly and clearing their mind and focusing on the first thoughts that come to that same place after asking an appropriate question. Creating a sense of stillness in order to get in touch with intuitive inspiration is a hallmark of lucky people and can add immeasurably to a state of clarity and calm as well. Go ahead, ask any harried mom how lucky they are when they can find a personal peace as well as some clarity and calm. See? Lucky.

These three tips are applicable to anyone at any time and in any place. Exercised with regularity and belief they can help anyone to create a luckier life filled with health, happiness, love and prosperity.

Shaklee Basic H2 Review and Giveaway:

Are you looking for a cleaning product that cleans many surfaces and is also nontoxic? If so you should check out Shaklee's Basic H2.

Let's learn a little about Basic H2...

Use on any washable surface – indoors or out

  • Walls, Windows and Mirrors, Countertops, Floors, Appliances, Stoves, Sealed Woodwork, Pots and Pans, Furniture

Clean Credentials

  • Nontoxic
  • Natural
  • Doubly concentrated
  • Biodegradable Surfactants

Each little vial holds enough Basic H2 to make two bottles of powerful cleaner when diluted in 16 ounces of water.

Directions

First, mix 2 drops to 16 oz. of water in a Spray Bottle for cleaning windows and mirrors. Then, mix 1/4 tsp. to 16 oz. of water in a Spray Bottle for all-purpose cleaning.

I mixed up my Basic H2 in a bottle as soon I got it because I wanted to test it out. Don't be fooled by the size of this sample because it can make two 16 oz bottles of spray. You use more to make the all-purpose cleaner but very little to make a bottle of glass cleaner.

I love that it is an all purpose cleaner. I mean what mom wouldn't? I can just grab a bottle and clean what ever I need to. I can clean it everything with just one bottle. Also I love that it is nontoxic and doesn't really have much of a smell. This is a huge plus being a mom because I don't want my kids around chemicals that will make them sick or give them a headache from smelling something to strong.

I first tested it on my counter top...

Yeah I admit that is gross. Sticky and dirty. EWWW.

Then I used the Basic H2...

Much better!

Next I decided to clean my mirror in the bathroom...

You can see the nice smear on the mirror. Try to ignore the mess else wear I know it is bad!

See no more smear and streak free! Woohoo!

So if you are looking for a nice all purpose cleaner then check out Basic H2.

Some of the specials that are currently running are:

* Join Shaklee with a $70 order and get $100 Cinch Sampler FREE. The GET CLEAN KIT would be an awesome deal with this!

Tone up Tuesday:

Tone up Tuesday: So what are you doing to Tone up this week? This Tuesday I am taking the chance to show you all that I have not been just giving you ideas on Tone up Tuesday but I have been working hard to get fit.

Since the first of this year I have been trying my best to loose weight. I actually accomplished it! I have lost a total of 20 lbs! I had no clue how big of a change in my looks it made until my husband took a picture the other night. I have been getting many wonderful comments about how much weight I have lost. My husband tells me almost every day that I am wasting away. I love all the compliments because it keeps me going.

I have also been asked what is my secret? No secret at all. I have been cutting back my calorie intake to about 1100 a day. I also have tried my best to cut out sugars and breads. Those two things are my weaknesses. I also only drink flavored water and occasionally a glass of milk or juice. I also cheat! Oh yeah I will cheat and eat something not so good for me or go over my calorie count maybe once every other week. Of course there are also date nights where I won’t worry about what I eat. Don’t be afraid to cheat every now and then. Also if you feel like you have done bad one day don’t worry just start new the next day and try your best.

I also started doing Jillian Michael’s Shred but I only did it for 2 weeks because I started feeling bad. I love the work out and it makes me feel good after I do it. It is not easy though. The first 2 days you really just want to cry. I pretty much did the first day. It works every part of your body…So worth getting past the first 2 days. So there is my secret :) I hope to loose about 10 more pounds.

Guest Post: By Susan Bodack of InStyleSwimwear.com

Today's Guest Post comes from Susan Bodack of InStyleSwimear.com. Thanks Susan for the great post on Modest Swimwear.

Stylish and Modest Swimwear DOES Exist!

With the slew of skimpy bikinis that surrounds us on the beaches, pools and in magazines, sometimes it’s hard to believe that stylish and modest swimwear does exist. Despite what mass media may lead us to believe, there’s actually more variety than you think! Real moms know that real women have some curves, and as we grow older, the need for really great coverage and support increases. If you know what swimwear styles to look for, you’ll be stylish as can be this season!

One-piece swimsuits are a no-brainer if you’re looking for a style that flatters and supports. But finding one-piece swimwear that’s actually stylish can be a whole different ball game. Look for styles in your favorite fun colors, such as orange, which is the hottest color for 2012. Also you can find one-piece swimwear in fun prints and patterns like crocodile prints, floral motifs and color-blocking. In terms of silhouette, try a trendy retro-inspired swimwear style that has a chic vintage vibe. Or look for strapless and one-shoulder styles for a high fashion look. Keep in mind that anything with underwire will offer the most bust support and styles with ruching are extra flattering for the torso.

Although one-piece swimsuits are great for coverage and support, you don’t have to limit yourself to them. Tankinis are great one-piece alternatives and they’re really great for longer torsos, especially when they’re paired with mid or high-rise bottoms. Tankini swimwear comes in a wide variety of styles to complement any personality. Many feature longer tops that meet the bottom, so they resemble a classic one-piece swimwear silhouette. Others have flattering a-line shapes and blouson-style tops which are great for hiding your tummy. Some of the hottest tankini styles right now are paired with skirted bottoms that have great bottom coverage.

Although swimwear goes hand-in-hand with the beach or pool, not all of us feel comfortable lounging around in a swimsuit. A swimwear cover-up can be your best friend. For more bottom coverage, try a sarong or pareo that helps cover your bottom and upper thighs. For allover coverage, try swimwear cover-ups like chic kaftans, drapey tunics and long maxi dresses. You can’t go wrong!

This season feel cool and confident at the beach or pool by choosing stylish and modest swimwear styles. Happy spring!
