Trivia Party Starters Review and Give Away

Are you looking for a new way to liven up a baby shower, birthday, Super Bowl Party, couples date night in or girl's night in?  Then you should check out Trivia Party Starters.

Trivia Party Starters is a great way to get a conversation started, get you thinking and having fun all at the same time.  You get 20 napkins in a package and there are 2 questions on each. That is a total of 40 questions you can ask your guests.

So let's learn a little more about Trivia Party Starters:

We love Trivia and when we created our exciting lineup of Trivia Cocktail Napkins, we saw firsthand that a lot of other people liked Trivia too!

Our product is a great way to get people talking to each other about the questions and the answers and who knows where the conversation goes from there. Sometimes when you have a party it takes a little time to get the conversation rolling.

Our Business

We are in the business of creating laughter and excitement no matter what the occasion. Let us help the party get started!
Our Trivia Party Starters get the conversation going right away. We have organized the Trivia by subject group so you can pick and choose the subjects that interest your guests for the evening.

I had a Dove Chocolate Party with some of my friends and we asked questions to our friends and found out this was really fun for any type of party.  My kids even wanted in on the action and I was able to find some for them to answer.  Trivia Party Starters even makes a set for kids.  So people of all different ages can enjoy these napkins.

Here is sample questions from my Celebrity Trivia Pack:

How long was Bernie Madoff's jail sentence?  What was the longest sentence in history?

Who played the Tool Time girl on "Home Improvement"?

While I did not know the answer to the first question, I did to the second because Home Improvement was one of my favorite shows to watch.  So you see why I chose this one to show you.

Here are the answers:

150 years; the longest sentence was 7,109 years given to a postman in Spain for failing to deliver 43,000 letters.

Pamela Anderson/Debbie Dunning

So if you are looking for a new way to get guests talking then you should check out Trivia Party Starters.

They cost $5.99 for a pack and you can see the different categories by going here.

Now here is the fun part of my review.  I get to giveaway 2 packs (of your choice) to 2 winners.  All you have to do is like Triva Party Starters on Facebook.  Make sure you let me know in a comment below that you have entered and also let them know on the FB Page that you came from Mom's Point of View.

The contest will end this Friday June 8th at midnight.

Popcornflix Review

I recently had the opportunity to review Popcornflix .  I must say it is nice to be able to have a site to view movies for free. Other sites you usually have to pay something to watch a movie but Popcornflix is absolutely free.

One of my first thoughts was how is this site free? So I emailed them and got this response...

Popcornflix owns the rights to all the movies on their site – so it’s free and legal. They just get revenue from ads.

I think it is great that Popcornflix made it so movies are free for everyone. (Right now they only reach the US but they are working on reaching further.) You will see a lot of ads in the movies but you must remember Popcornflix did this for you so they could offer these movies free for you.

And a little more about Popcornflix:

We love movies! Popcornflix was created for people like us who want to watch "Great Movies. Free." Popcornflix has full-length movies that will make you laugh, make you cry, scare the heck out of you, or inspire you to hug the person you love. We have compelling documentaries, foreign films, unique original web series, and a place that showcases the brightest film makers of tomorrow. We built Popcornflix to be the most user friendly movie destination on the web. No movie is more than two clicks away and they are all FREE.
We at Popcornflix want to thank our "parent" Screen Media Ventures, LLC for giving us a home and an endless flow of great films.
Screen Media Ventures, LLC, founded in 1999, is the largestindependent distributor of motion pictures to the world widetelevision market. The company is one of the leading motion picturedistributors of theatrical, home video, digital and television bothin the U.S. and internationally. With over 1500 movies, Screen Mediahas one of the largest independently owned film libraries in themotion picture industry.

Popcornflix is easy to use. You can search by genre, new arrivals, or most popular. All you have to do is click and browse through the movies. Then once you picked a movie hit play. Also something I just figured out while just clicking around is that when you have a R rated movie come up you must type in your birth date to watch it. I don't watch R movies but I like the idea of having to put in your birth date to watch it.

I have watched two movies on Popcornflix so far and I must say I loved them. I was in the mood for comedy so I watched one called Bridal Fever that stars Delta Burke. I was laughing pretty hard while watching this movie. It was great. The other movie I watched was called a Wedding for Bella. This movie was more of a drama and stars Scott Baio. Warning there is some language and you will shed tears. It was a wonderful movie.

So if you are looking for a place to watch movies for free check out Popcornflix.

Fresh Produce Clothing

I was recently contacted by Fresh Produce Clothing and I was asked if I would be interested in reviewing something from their clothing line.  After I went to the website I couldn't refuse!  They have cute clothes!

My favorite part about Fresh Produce Clothing is that they are modest. Most clothes today you see every part of a woman's body and nothing is left up to the imagination.  Modest clothing is very hard to find today.  They also have clothes for little girls.

So let's find out a little how Fresh Produce got it's start...

Today, Fresh Produce designs, manufactures and markets a leading women’s and children’s lifestyle brand of clothing. In women’s apparel, the Fresh Produce brand is known for its original prints, vibrant color and stylish, comfortable clothing, all designed and created by CEO, Mary Ellen Vernon.   For nearly three decades, Fresh Produce has delighted women with beautiful clothing that is primarily made in the USA.
The heart of the Fresh Produce is rooted in the positive impact of color. We love color and want our customers to light up the room in our clothes. From casual tops and feminine dresses to decorative scarves and stylish pants, Fresh Produce is dedicated to creating feel-good clothes women want to wear every day.  The coastal-inspired colors and broad assortment of easy-to-wear pieces are flattering and comfortable on all shapes and sizes and are available in Extra Fresh plus sizes as well as children’s styles. The comfortable fabrics, fit and style reflect carefree ease.
Fresh Produce clothes are available at 25 company-owned retail boutiques, online and at more than 500 independent retailers throughout the continental US, Canada, Hawaii and the Caribbean, including 13 ‘Handpicked’ dealer locations. The Handpicked dealers utilize the Fresh Produce retail trade dress and stock a broad assortment of Fresh Produce’s most current styles.

So after spending about a half an hour looking at their clothes (ok so it may have been longer lol) I decided on what I wanted to review...

This is the Effortless Dress in Augustine (shown below is plus size)
I decided to get the Effortless Dress in Augustine in a pink color called Tropical Punch.  I usually don't wear pink but I was looking to expand my colors in my closet.  I really love this dress.  I love the look and feel and the way it fits.

Me of course wearing the dress :)

This dress can be found here.  It cost $69 and the plus size costs $74.  Right now Fresh Produce is having a Mother's Day sale where you buy one dress get a second for 50% off.  This is on all dresses.  Enter the Coupon Code: LOVEMOM

Also be sure to check out their Resort Wear, Caribbean Clothing and their Simple Dresses.

So if you are looking for some new clothes that are modest, cute and comfortable to wear then check out Fresh Produce Clothing.  I am sure you will love these clothes as much as I do.

*Note this is my honest opinion of the product above.  I was not paid for my review.

Reuseit BlueAvocado Chil Tote Bag

I had the opportunity to work with the company Reuseit it again and I am very pleased with the tote bag that I received to review.

Being a mom of four who is on the go for soccer, it is important to me to find a bag that can carry food for the long days at soccer.  This is a great bag for just that.

I decided to pack our kids a lunch this Saturday for their games because my son had a game that was further away than normal.  I was afraid we may not have time to get back to our house for lunch.  I packed their lunch in the Reusit BlueAvocado Big Chil Large Insulated Reusable Shopping Bag. Turns out we did have some extra time so we were able to come back to our house where I filled up water bottles and a milk bottle for our youngest.

I was afraid that it would go bad because the baby had fallen asleep.  The bag is insulated so it kept the bottle cool. I really love how much room is in this bag because it great for packing a lunch for my family of 6.  Also I know it will be great for when we go to the park and want to have picnics.

Here is a little more info on the bag...
  • Replaces plastic shopping bags and paper lunch bags
  • Insulated – pvc-free liner keeps contents hot/cold for up to 3 hours
  • Zip-top closure
  • Holds 3 gallons
  • Made from recycled materials
  • 1% of sales donated to global women's micro-entrepreneurship
  • The size of the bag is 12.5"H x 21"W x 9”D
The bag comes in two different colors.  The navy blue you can see in my above picture and also a kiwi color.  The tote bag costs $22.95.  Don't forget to check out Reuseit's other tote bags.

What I am Wearing Wednesday...

Once again I am going to dive into something new for my blog. I am going to start a What I am Wearing Wednesday.

A little background on why I decided to start this. I decided to start this because I also just started my own business selling lia sophia jewelry. If you have not heard of lia sophia then you should go check out my site www.liasophia.com/terriwalsh and learn more about lia sophia.

So I am going to start posting what lia sophia jewelry I am wearing, how much it is and how much you could get it for. So let's start off with this photo...

I am wearing the Bubble Bath necklace which sells for $88 and Caleigh earrings which sell for $28.00. This month with lia sophia you can buy 2 pieces at regular price (being your cheapest) items and get up to 4 pieces half off (being your most expensive items).

So if I were to buy two earring that were around $28.00 I could get the necklace for $44. Also I could get 3 more pieces for half off. So that is a pretty awesome deal. Also this jewelry has a life time guaranteed on it. If you break it or a child breaks it then you can get it replaced.

So there is my longer than normal post. I will have this post shorter the next time I do this.

Tone up Tuesday:

Tone Up Tuesday: What are you doing to Tone Up? I am going to have to do a restart on toning up lately. I have been a major slacker lately. With birthdays, holidays and spring break I got lazy when it comes to fitness. So I have been browsing around looking for a restart to my fitness.

Here is what I came up with....

I have to laugh at this one because lately I have been feeling lazy. So I think when you don't feel like doing much give this one a try cause it is better than nothing.

And here is another one...

Castle Ink Review

Are you looking for ink that also has a great way to earn money for yourself or charity? If so you should check out Castleink.

Castle Ink has a partnership with Recycle for Life. If you have empty cartridges, you can send them to Recycle For Life in exchange for cash, or a donation to the charity of your choice.

Recycle For Life manages all aspects of the collection and payment process, so please reach out to them directly with any questions. The process is simple: once you have located your printer cartridges on their list, fill in the number of cartridges you are returning and calculate the amount due. Be sure to fill in your contact information and preferred method of payment.

Recycling your printer ink cartridges makes sense – it’s good for the environment because it reduces the amount of plastic put into landfills. And it’s good for your wallet by giving you cash back for your empty cartridges.

What an awesome partnership! Great way to earn a little cash or give to a charity.

Being a mom that homeschools I am always printing out lots of worksheets. I go through a lot of ink. Also having 4 kids it is easier to just order online instead of going to a store to get ink. This ink is like any other ink I have used. Very good quality when printing.

So if you are looking for ink go check out Castleink.com.

I must say I had many scrunchies and slap bracelets when I was in school. Brings back many memories.

Cureology Review and Giveaway

I recently had a chance to review Cureology's Endurance Color Care Shampoo and Re-conditioner. I was very happy to learn of their sponsorship with The National Breast Cancer Foundation. You can read more about that here.

The reason I am so happy with their sponsorship with the NBCF is because I have had 3 very close people in my life who have fought breast cancer and have won the battle. This is a great organization in my book to support.

So now let's learn a little more about Cureology.

Cureology is made with a simple premise: That shampooing, conditioning, and styling your hair should be beneficial to both the scalp and hair. At Curelogy Beauty we use the restorative powers of a new, Natural Ingredient Technology that helps to restore the scalp and hair back to a healthy and youthful feel and appearance.

Cureology Beauty is produced with the utmost respect to human health, our environment, and our future. At Cureology Beauty we adhere to the following principles-

Procure and use only ingredients that are available from renewable sustainable resources when and wherever available. We use only organically grown ingredients. We do not add harmful salt or other thickeners to our formulations which are harmful to the hair, hair color and scalp. Cureology Beauty is the only hair care line that utilizes a Dual Proprietary Sun Screening System to help protect the hair, hair color and hairline from the ravaging effects of UVA and UVB rays as well as Ozone. Cureology Beauty utilizes a proprietary blend of botanicals, antioxidants, essential oils, vitamins, and Omega3 to create the most beneficially fabulous hair care line in the world.

So you can see Cureology is about being helpful to the environment as well.

I have used the products now for a few weeks and I love the smell. It is not over powering. It has a light smell and leaves your hair feeling light and soft. I love being able to run my fingers through my hair and feeling how soft it is. I do have to say I must use the re-conditioner because if I don't I will have a lot of knots in my hair. That just may be me I always have to use conditioner.

So now here is the fun part. I get to give away the same product I used. one lucky reader will get the shampoo and re-conditioner.

All you have to do is leave a comment below with your email. (I will not accept any entries without an email.)

You can also do the following for extra entries. Make sure you let me know what you did below in a comment.

Ellen Whitehurst's 3 Tips for Luck year round

Ellen Whitehurst , www.ellenwhitehurst.com is a Better Living Expert as well as the author of the bestselling MAKE THIS YOUR LUCKY DAY (Ballantine) Recognized as the country’s premier expert in Feng Shui and other empowering modalities such as holistic medicine, aromatherapy, and astrology. Ellen also pens a daily inspirational tip for iVillage.com currently reaching over a half million each day. She is also the newest Ultimate Health and Wellness expert contributing to DoctorOz.com.

Three Tips to Create a Lucky Life All Year Round

Seed your day by getting lucky first thing in the morning! Even if you’re traditionally not a morning person (wink) there are some things that anyone can do to start the day off from a place of anticipation, expectation, gratitude and joy. The very first thing you see the very first time you open your eyes in the morning will influence and impact, not only that particular day but potentially your entire life. If the first thing you spy as you open your eyes is a desk full or unfinished business or exercise equipment (a ‘no – no’ in the bedroom anyway!) with the dry cleaning hanging on it or an open bottle of Vick’s NyQuil from the cold you had a week ago, well, imagine how these images impact your experience. On the other hand if you have a clean and clutter free sleeping space with a beautiful comforter keeping you cozy and warm and some images or artwork of beauty and possibly even some soft music playing in the background, well, then you might feel fully present as you express “Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.” Beginning your day in a state of present of gratitude also begins your day with grace. And don’t forget that ages-old legend and lore says that if you get out of bed by climbing over the foot of it, you’ll have outstanding luck all the day long. www.facebook.com/EllenWhitehurst

Now, speaking of expectation, recent scientific research done on the difference between lucky and unlucky people shows that lucky people’s expectations, their dreams, goals, hopes and ambitions often become a reality because of one fundamental difference in how lucky people think. Simply put lucky people have positive expectations that then motivate them to take control of their lives. They will actually attempt to achieve whatever they want from life no matter the likelihood of being successful. This internal motivation prompts lucky people to persist even in the face of challenge, obstacle or adversity. Lucky people define at least five goals for themselves on a regular basis by writing them down and looking at them often. And, then, they take (at least!) one proactive step each day towards reaching those same goals. They reach out or join in or even simply do a positive meditative visualization of what they will FEEL like when their goal is reached. Lucky people expect success. And, so, they often achieve it.

Invariably and, again, according to scientific studies, lucky people are found to follow their instincts, intuition and plain old gut hunches much, MUCH more than those who consider themselves to be unlucky. The lucky bunch do different things in order to enhance their intuition and hone their instincts such as investing time and energy in some formal form of meditation or simply sitting quietly and clearing their mind and focusing on the first thoughts that come to that same place after asking an appropriate question. Creating a sense of stillness in order to get in touch with intuitive inspiration is a hallmark of lucky people and can add immeasurably to a state of clarity and calm as well. Go ahead, ask any harried mom how lucky they are when they can find a personal peace as well as some clarity and calm. See? Lucky.

These three tips are applicable to anyone at any time and in any place. Exercised with regularity and belief they can help anyone to create a luckier life filled with health, happiness, love and prosperity.

Shaklee Basic H2 Review and Giveaway:

Are you looking for a cleaning product that cleans many surfaces and is also nontoxic? If so you should check out Shaklee's Basic H2.

Let's learn a little about Basic H2...

Use on any washable surface – indoors or out

  • Walls, Windows and Mirrors, Countertops, Floors, Appliances, Stoves, Sealed Woodwork, Pots and Pans, Furniture

Clean Credentials

  • Nontoxic
  • Natural
  • Doubly concentrated
  • Biodegradable Surfactants

Each little vial holds enough Basic H2 to make two bottles of powerful cleaner when diluted in 16 ounces of water.

Directions

First, mix 2 drops to 16 oz. of water in a Spray Bottle for cleaning windows and mirrors. Then, mix 1/4 tsp. to 16 oz. of water in a Spray Bottle for all-purpose cleaning.

I mixed up my Basic H2 in a bottle as soon I got it because I wanted to test it out. Don't be fooled by the size of this sample because it can make two 16 oz bottles of spray. You use more to make the all-purpose cleaner but very little to make a bottle of glass cleaner.

I love that it is an all purpose cleaner. I mean what mom wouldn't? I can just grab a bottle and clean what ever I need to. I can clean it everything with just one bottle. Also I love that it is nontoxic and doesn't really have much of a smell. This is a huge plus being a mom because I don't want my kids around chemicals that will make them sick or give them a headache from smelling something to strong.

I first tested it on my counter top...

Yeah I admit that is gross. Sticky and dirty. EWWW.

Then I used the Basic H2...

Much better!

Next I decided to clean my mirror in the bathroom...

You can see the nice smear on the mirror. Try to ignore the mess else wear I know it is bad!

See no more smear and streak free! Woohoo!

So if you are looking for a nice all purpose cleaner then check out Basic H2.

Some of the specials that are currently running are:

* Join Shaklee with a $70 order and get $100 Cinch Sampler FREE. The GET CLEAN KIT would be an awesome deal with this!

Tone up Tuesday:

Tone up Tuesday: So what are you doing to Tone up this week? This Tuesday I am taking the chance to show you all that I have not been just giving you ideas on Tone up Tuesday but I have been working hard to get fit.

Since the first of this year I have been trying my best to loose weight. I actually accomplished it! I have lost a total of 20 lbs! I had no clue how big of a change in my looks it made until my husband took a picture the other night. I have been getting many wonderful comments about how much weight I have lost. My husband tells me almost every day that I am wasting away. I love all the compliments because it keeps me going.

I have also been asked what is my secret? No secret at all. I have been cutting back my calorie intake to about 1100 a day. I also have tried my best to cut out sugars and breads. Those two things are my weaknesses. I also only drink flavored water and occasionally a glass of milk or juice. I also cheat! Oh yeah I will cheat and eat something not so good for me or go over my calorie count maybe once every other week. Of course there are also date nights where I won’t worry about what I eat. Don’t be afraid to cheat every now and then. Also if you feel like you have done bad one day don’t worry just start new the next day and try your best.

I also started doing Jillian Michael’s Shred but I only did it for 2 weeks because I started feeling bad. I love the work out and it makes me feel good after I do it. It is not easy though. The first 2 days you really just want to cry. I pretty much did the first day. It works every part of your body…So worth getting past the first 2 days. So there is my secret :) I hope to loose about 10 more pounds.

Guest Post: By Susan Bodack of InStyleSwimwear.com

Today's Guest Post comes from Susan Bodack of InStyleSwimear.com. Thanks Susan for the great post on Modest Swimwear.

Stylish and Modest Swimwear DOES Exist!

With the slew of skimpy bikinis that surrounds us on the beaches, pools and in magazines, sometimes it’s hard to believe that stylish and modest swimwear does exist. Despite what mass media may lead us to believe, there’s actually more variety than you think! Real moms know that real women have some curves, and as we grow older, the need for really great coverage and support increases. If you know what swimwear styles to look for, you’ll be stylish as can be this season!

One-piece swimsuits are a no-brainer if you’re looking for a style that flatters and supports. But finding one-piece swimwear that’s actually stylish can be a whole different ball game. Look for styles in your favorite fun colors, such as orange, which is the hottest color for 2012. Also you can find one-piece swimwear in fun prints and patterns like crocodile prints, floral motifs and color-blocking. In terms of silhouette, try a trendy retro-inspired swimwear style that has a chic vintage vibe. Or look for strapless and one-shoulder styles for a high fashion look. Keep in mind that anything with underwire will offer the most bust support and styles with ruching are extra flattering for the torso.

Although one-piece swimsuits are great for coverage and support, you don’t have to limit yourself to them. Tankinis are great one-piece alternatives and they’re really great for longer torsos, especially when they’re paired with mid or high-rise bottoms. Tankini swimwear comes in a wide variety of styles to complement any personality. Many feature longer tops that meet the bottom, so they resemble a classic one-piece swimwear silhouette. Others have flattering a-line shapes and blouson-style tops which are great for hiding your tummy. Some of the hottest tankini styles right now are paired with skirted bottoms that have great bottom coverage.

Although swimwear goes hand-in-hand with the beach or pool, not all of us feel comfortable lounging around in a swimsuit. A swimwear cover-up can be your best friend. For more bottom coverage, try a sarong or pareo that helps cover your bottom and upper thighs. For allover coverage, try swimwear cover-ups like chic kaftans, drapey tunics and long maxi dresses. You can’t go wrong!

This season feel cool and confident at the beach or pool by choosing stylish and modest swimwear styles. Happy spring!

This post was written by Susan Bodack, a blogger at InStyleSwimwear.com. For more swimwear related tips, check out their blog Beauty and the Beach today.

Tone up Tuesday:

Tone up Tuesday: So what have you been doing to Tone up lately? For me the past few weeks have been nothing because I have been feeling so bad. The past two days I started up with my Shred again and now I am sick again. Sorry for the whining but I wanted to let you all know why I have not been posting.

So that aside here are some interesting things I found on Pinterest:

If you are still getting started then here is a good work out to do that is just 15 mins...

If you are like me and want to flatten your tummy then try this. I am still working on mine. After 4 kids I have a lot of work to do. I have seen an improvement though.

And just a little poster to motivate me:

Please share any other thoughts or workouts that you like...
